01/08-06 BMC Nepal is cancelled due to injury

When I ended the journey through Asia it was with the purpose of getting ready, meaning getting the needed equipment and especially getting in better physical shape, for the Nepal Mountaineering Association's Basic Mountaineering Course.
Both parts were actually going great and two weeks before my departure I was in a better shape than ever and the last missing piece of equipment, a pair of climbing boots in size troll, had just arrived from France.
.....but then everything went wrong; exactly two weeks before my departure on the 6. of August 2006 I had a serious injury in my right ankle due to excessive straining. Despite begging for a miracle cure at miscellaneous doctors I had to realize I was not going to be able to go through with the trip! Alas, if it was powers from above, fate or just my life in a nutshell, it was certainly a blow below the belt!
Now I'm in the progress of checking options for going later this year.
